The main materials for manufacturing bearing seats include cast steel (such as ZG45), gray cast iron (such as HT200), ductile iron (such as QT400-17) or stainless steel. The rolling mill bearing seats are mainly made of cast steel.
The selection of bearing seat blank is related to factors such as its material, structure and size. Bearing holes with smaller apertures are generally cast in steel molds, or solid castings; when the apertures are larger, sand castings are used; in mass production, steel mold casting is generally used.
